Our Shared Legacy
The Alma Heritage Project belongs to everyone. By preserving our stories today, we are creating a lasting legacy that celebrates the people, places and memories that have shaped our community.
The Alma Heritage Project is about more than recording history. It is about preserving the heart and soul of the Alma Estate and ensuring that the voices, memories and experiences of the people who have shaped this community continue to inspire future generations.
Every story shared, every photograph preserved and every memory recorded becomes part of a living community archive. Together, we are creating a lasting legacy that will educate, inspire and connect generations, ensuring the history, spirit and identity of the Alma Estate continue to grow long after the project has ended.

Past, Present and Future
Few images tell the story of the Alma Estate as powerfully as this one. The final tower block stands as a reminder of generations of memories, while the new homes reflect the next chapter in the area's history. Framed by the Ponders End Station sign, the photograph captures not only physical change, but also the journeys, lives, and stories that connect the community across generations.
